SiteLaws.com

Effective Date: September 5, 2026

Last Updated: September 5, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SiteLaws.com, including its articles, legal and regulatory updates, compliance information, complimentary website compliance risk scan, reports, emails, and related features (collectively, the “Services”).

SiteLaws.com is operated by Thinkellect LLC a Colorado Limited Liability Company, referred to throughout these Terms as “Site Laws,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

By accessing SiteLaws.com, submitting a website for scanning, requesting a report, subscribing to communications, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Informational Purposes Only

Site Laws publishes news, updates, articles, summaries, checklists, observations, and other information concerning websites, eCommerce, privacy, accessibility, security, marketing, and compliance-related subjects.

All content provided through the Services is offered for general informational and educational purposes only. Site Laws does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, compliance certifications, cybersecurity services, accounting advice, or professional consulting services.

Nothing on SiteLaws.com creates an attorney-client, consultant-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. Communications sent to or received from Site Laws do not create such a relationship.

You should consult a qualified attorney or other appropriate professional concerning laws, regulations, standards, contractual obligations, or compliance requirements affecting your website or business.

2. Laws and Standards Change

Website and eCommerce requirements may vary according to location, industry, business activity, audience, technology, contractual obligations, and other circumstances.

Laws, regulations, court decisions, government guidance, technical standards, and enforcement practices may change at any time. An article or report may become outdated after publication, even when the information was accurate when published.

Site Laws does not promise that every article, update, scan, report, or other item will reflect the most recent legal or technical development. Publication of an update does not guarantee coverage of every relevant development.

You remain responsible for confirming current requirements with qualified professionals and authoritative sources.

3. Complimentary Website Compliance Risk Scan

Site Laws may provide a complimentary automated scan that examines publicly accessible portions of a submitted website for observable indicators of potential compliance risk.

The scan is preliminary and limited. It is designed to identify certain technical elements, disclosures, configurations, content, or other conditions that automated technology may detect.

  • A legal audit or legal opinion
  • A certification of compliance or noncompliance
  • A guarantee that a website satisfies any law, regulation, or standard
  • A complete accessibility evaluation
  • A penetration test, security audit, or vulnerability assessment
  • A substitute for manual inspection, professional testing, or legal review
  • A guarantee that every page, file, script, feature, or user experience was examined

A favorable score does not establish that a website is legally compliant, accessible, secure, or protected from complaints, investigations, claims, penalties, or lawsuits.

An unfavorable score does not necessarily establish that a violation has occurred. Automated tools may produce incomplete findings, false positives, false negatives, outdated findings, or results affected by technical limitations.

4. Scan Limitations

Scan availability, scope, depth, and results may be affected by:

  • txt directives
  • Firewalls and security systems
  • Consent-management tools
  • Authentication requirements
  • Geographic restrictions
  • Website speed or downtime
  • Rate limits
  • Dynamic or personalized content
  • JavaScript execution
  • Third-party platforms and embedded services
  • Pages that are not publicly accessible
  • Changes made during or after a scan
  • Technical errors or incompatible website configurations

Site Laws may limit the number of complimentary scans available to a person, email address, website, domain, organization, device, network, or other identifier.

We may refuse, interrupt, restrict, or discontinue a scan when needed to protect a website, our technology, third parties, or the integrity of the Services.

5. Permission to Scan a Website

By submitting a domain, URL, or website for scanning, you represent that:

  1. You own or control the website, or you have permission from its owner to request the scan.
  2. The website may be lawfully accessed by automated systems.
  3. Your request will not violate another party’s rights, contractual restrictions, security requirements, or applicable law.
  4. You will not use the Services to probe, disrupt, burden, damage, or gain unauthorized access to any website, server, account, network, or system.
  5. You will not submit private, internal, password-protected, administrative, or restricted pages for scanning.

You are responsible for claims, disputes, or losses resulting from your submission of a website without proper authority.

6. Reports, Scores, and Risk Classifications

Site Laws may assign scores, classifications, categories, summaries, or suggested priorities to scan findings. These may include labels such as Critical, High, Moderate, Advisory, or Not Applicable.

These classifications represent Site Laws’ automated or editorial assessment of potential risk indicators. They are not legal conclusions and do not determine whether a law has been violated.

Scores and classifications may change as our methods, technology, data sources, or evaluation standards change. Results from separate scans may differ, even when performed on the same website.

Reports reflect conditions observed during a limited period. They do not guarantee the website’s condition before or after the scan.

7. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Determining which laws and standards apply to your website
  • Evaluating findings and recommendations
  • Obtaining legal or professional advice
  • Deciding whether and how to modify your website
  • Testing changes before publishing them
  • Maintaining your website’s security, accessibility, privacy, and legal compliance
  • Reviewing third-party tools, plugins, scripts, vendors, and platforms
  • Monitoring future changes in applicable requirements

You should not make legal, technical, security, or business decisions solely from a Site Laws article, score, scan, email, or report.

8. No Guaranteed Results

Site Laws does not guarantee that using the Services or responding to identified findings will:

  • Make your website compliant with any law or standard
  • Prevent lawsuits, complaints, investigations, or enforcement actions
  • Prevent security incidents or data breaches
  • Resolve every accessibility barrier
  • Identify every tracking technology or third-party script
  • Improve search rankings, sales, traffic, or business performance
  • Satisfy the requirements of any government agency, court, payment processor, platform, insurer, vendor, or contracting party

Your results will depend on circumstances beyond our control.

9. Articles, News, and Third-Party Information

Site Laws may summarize or discuss legislation, regulations, legal proceedings, enforcement activity, government guidance, technical standards, industry developments, and other publicly available information.

Headlines, summaries, commentary, and articles may simplify complex subjects. Readers should review original sources and consult qualified professionals before acting.
