SiteLaws.com (“Site Laws,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to treating all website visitors, users, free-scan users, paid clients, customers, subscribers, vendors, advertisers, and business partners fairly, respectfully, honestly, and without unlawful discrimination.

This Fair Treatment Policy describes the standards that guide our services, communications, commercial relationships, advertising practices, and interactions with the public.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to:

  • Visitors to SiteLaws.com and websites or services operated by Site Laws;
  • Individuals and businesses using our free website risk scan;
  • Clients purchasing paid scans, monitoring, reports, subscriptions, or other services;
  • Customers and prospective customers;
  • Individuals who contact our customer service or support team;
  • Vendors, contractors, service providers, advertisers, sponsors, affiliates, and promotional partners; and
  • Site Laws employees, representatives, and agents when acting on behalf of Site Laws.

2. Our Fair Treatment Commitments

Site Laws seeks to provide services and conduct business according to the following principles:

  • Honest and understandable communications;
  • Respectful and professional treatment;
  • Fair access to our website and services;
  • Transparent pricing and material service terms;
  • Consistent application of our stated policies;
  • Reasonable protection of personal and business information;
  • Meaningful opportunities to raise questions or concerns;
  • Good-faith investigation of credible complaints; and
  • Compliance with applicable consumer-protection, civil-rights, privacy, accessibility, and advertising laws.

Fair treatment does not require Site Laws to provide identical outcomes in every circumstance. Services, pricing, features, eligibility, and support may differ based on the selected plan, contractual terms, location, technical requirements, risk level, availability, or other legitimate business considerations. Any such differences will not knowingly be based on unlawful discrimination.

3. Equal Treatment and Nondiscrimination

Site Laws does not knowingly discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, creed, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital or familial status, military or veteran status, genetic information, citizenship or immigration status where protected by law, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

We seek to provide equal and fair access to our publicly available information, free scans, paid services, customer support, and business opportunities. Site Laws will not knowingly deny service, provide inferior service, impose unfair conditions, or engage in harassment because of a legally protected characteristic.

Nothing in this Policy prevents Site Laws from declining, limiting, suspending, or terminating service for legitimate reasons, including:

  • Suspected fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity;
  • Security threats or attempts to interfere with our systems;
  • Nonpayment or breach of contract;
  • Misuse of our scans, reports, website, or intellectual property;
  • Harassment or threats directed at Site Laws personnel or other users;
  • Requests that exceed the scope or technical capabilities of our services;
  • Conflicts of interest;
  • Legal, regulatory, sanctions, or compliance requirements; or
  • Other violations of our Terms and Conditions or applicable policies.

4. Respectful Communications

We expect Site Laws representatives, users, clients, customers, vendors, and advertisers to communicate respectfully. We do not knowingly tolerate:

  • Threats, intimidation, or abusive conduct;
  • Unlawful harassment;
  • Hate speech or discriminatory slurs;
  • Deliberately deceptive statements;
  • Retaliation against a person for raising a good-faith concern;
  • Attempts to exploit or manipulate vulnerable individuals; or
  • Repeated conduct that materially interferes with another person’s ability to use our services.

Site Laws may limit communications or access to its services when reasonably necessary to protect its personnel, users, systems, or business operations.

5. Fairness in Free and Paid Scans

Site Laws may offer free website risk scans, paid scans, monitoring services, reports, subscriptions, and other compliance-related services.

We seek to describe the scope and limitations of each service accurately. Differences between free and paid services may include the number of pages reviewed, frequency of monitoring, categories evaluated, depth of analysis, reporting features, human review, response time, recommendations, or other features disclosed at the time of use or purchase.

Within the scope of the applicable service, Site Laws intends to apply its scanning methods and evaluation criteria consistently and in good faith. We will not knowingly manipulate scan results to target a user unlawfully or to create a deliberately false need for a paid service.

However, scans and reports are based on available information, automated tools, selected criteria, and the condition of a website at the time of review. Results may contain errors, omissions, false positives, or false negatives. No scan guarantees legal compliance, certification, accessibility, security, or protection against claims, investigations, fines, or lawsuits.

Site Laws provides general compliance information and risk-identification tools. Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement signed by an authorized representative, Site Laws does not provide legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship.

6. Fair Pricing and Commercial Practices

Site Laws seeks to provide clear and understandable information about material pricing and service terms before a customer completes a purchase. Where applicable, we will disclose material information about:

  • The service or subscription being purchased;
  • Current pricing;
  • Billing frequency;
  • Automatic-renewal terms;
  • Material service limitations;
  • Cancellation procedures; and
  • Refund eligibility or restrictions.

Customers remain responsible for reviewing the order information, applicable service description, Terms and Conditions, and any additional agreement before purchasing.

Promotions, discounts, trials, or special pricing may be subject to stated eligibility requirements, expiration dates, geographic limitations, or other conditions. Offering a promotion to a defined group for a legitimate business reason does not violate this Policy, provided the promotion is not based on unlawful discrimination.

7. Privacy and Responsible Data Practices

Site Laws will handle personal information in accordance with its posted Privacy Policy and applicable law. We seek to collect and use information for legitimate purposes, explain our material data practices, employ reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, and provide legally required privacy rights.

This Fair Treatment Policy does not replace or modify the Site Laws Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict concerning the collection, use, disclosure, sale, transfer, or retention of personal information, the Privacy Policy and applicable law will govern.

8. Accessibility and Accommodations

Site Laws is committed to improving the accessibility and usability of its website and services for people with disabilities.

Users who encounter an accessibility barrier or need assistance accessing Site Laws content may contact us at support@sitelaws.com. We will review reasonable requests in good faith and attempt to provide assistance or an alternative method of access when reasonably feasible.

Additional information is available in the Site Laws Accessibility Policy.

9. Advertising, Vendors, and Promotional Partners

Site Laws will not knowingly promote products or services from any vendor, advertiser, sponsor, affiliate, or promotional partner that does not adhere to this Fair Treatment Policy or substantially equivalent principles.

Vendors and advertisers whose products or services are displayed, recommended, promoted, sponsored, or otherwise featured by Site Laws are expected to:

  • Treat customers and members of the public fairly and respectfully;
  • Refrain from unlawful discrimination or harassment;
  • Make truthful and supportable claims about their products and services;
  • Avoid fraudulent, deceptive, manipulative, or exploitative practices;
  • Clearly disclose material prices, fees, limitations, and recurring-payment terms;
  • Honor applicable warranties, cancellation rights, refund policies, and contractual commitments;
  • Protect personal information using reasonable privacy and security practices;
  • Make reasonable efforts to provide accessible products, services, and customer support;
  • Avoid targeting vulnerable individuals through abusive or predatory practices;
  • Comply with applicable advertising, consumer-protection, privacy, accessibility, and civil-rights laws; and
  • Cooperate reasonably with Site Laws when a credible fair-treatment concern is raised.

Site Laws may require a vendor or advertiser to confirm its adherence to these standards, provide relevant policies or supporting information, correct a problematic practice, or respond to a complaint.

10. Review and Monitoring of Promotions

Site Laws may conduct reasonable, good-faith reviews of prospective and existing advertisers, vendors, sponsors, and promotional partners. Such reviews may include publicly available information, representations supplied by the business, customer complaints, regulatory actions, or other information reasonably available to Site Laws.

Site Laws does not guarantee, certify, or continuously monitor every action of every third party. Acceptance of advertising or a commercial relationship does not represent a warranty that the third party complies with every law or with this Policy at all times.

If Site Laws becomes aware of credible information indicating that a vendor or advertiser may not adhere to this Policy, we may:

  • Request additional information or an explanation;
  • Require correction of an advertisement or practice;
  • Reject or remove promotional content;
  • Suspend or terminate an advertising, affiliate, vendor, or sponsorship relationship;
  • Decline to renew the relationship;
  • Add clarifying information or disclosures;
  • Report suspected unlawful conduct when appropriate; or
  • Take any other action we reasonably determine is appropriate.

Site Laws may take these actions without prior notice when immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, prevent deception, or protect the integrity of our services.

11. Sponsored Content, Advertising, and Endorsements

Site Laws may receive compensation, referral fees, commissions, products, services, or other benefits in connection with certain advertisements, affiliate links, sponsorships, endorsements, or promotional relationships. When required by law or appropriate to avoid misleading users, Site Laws will seek to clearly disclose material commercial relationships.

The appearance of a product, service, advertisement, affiliate link, or third-party business on SiteLaws.com does not constitute:

  • A legal or compliance certification;
  • A guarantee of quality, suitability, safety, or performance;
  • A guarantee that the third party will continuously comply with this Policy;
  • An assumption of responsibility for the third party’s conduct; or
  • Legal, financial, technical, or professional advice.

Users should conduct their own evaluation before purchasing or relying upon any third-party product or service.

12. Complaints and Fair-Treatment Concerns

Users, clients, customers, vendors, and members of the public may report a suspected violation of this Policy by contacting support@sitelaws.com or through SiteLaws.com.

A report should include, when available:

  • The name and contact information of the person submitting the report;
  • A description of the conduct or issue;
  • The date and location where the issue occurred;
  • The name of the Site Laws representative, vendor, or advertiser involved;
  • Relevant communications, screenshots, receipts, or other supporting information; and
  • The requested resolution.

Anonymous reports may be reviewed, but the absence of contact information or supporting details may limit our ability to investigate or respond.

13. Investigation and Resolution

Site Laws will review credible complaints in good faith. Depending on the nature of the concern, we may contact the reporting person, affected user, employee, vendor, advertiser, or other relevant party for additional information.

Possible outcomes include:

  • Providing an explanation or clarification;
  • Correcting inaccurate or unclear information;
  • Providing reasonable assistance or an alternative method of access;
  • Refunding or crediting charges when required by law, contract, or an applicable refund policy;
  • Retraining personnel;
  • Revising a policy, process, advertisement, or website feature;
  • Removing or refusing promotional content;
  • Suspending or terminating a customer, vendor, advertiser, or business relationship; or
  • Determining that the available information does not establish a violation.

Site Laws retains discretion to determine the appropriate investigation and response, subject to applicable law and contractual obligations. We may be unable to disclose confidential personnel, security, legal, or third-party information when communicating an outcome.

14. No Retaliation

Site Laws prohibits knowing retaliation against a person for submitting a good-faith complaint, requesting an accommodation, raising a compliance concern, participating in an investigation, or exercising a legal right.

This protection does not prevent Site Laws from taking appropriate action in response to knowingly false reports, threats, harassment, fraud, abuse, nonpayment, or other independent violations of our policies or the law.

15. Enforcement

Violations of this Policy may result in corrective action appropriate to the circumstances, including warnings, restrictions, removal of content, denial or termination of services, cancellation of promotional arrangements, termination of vendor or advertising relationships, or referral to appropriate authorities.

Site Laws may consider the seriousness of the conduct, whether it was intentional, whether it was corrected, whether similar conduct has occurred previously, and the potential impact on users or the public.

16. Policy Limitations

This Policy expresses the fair-treatment standards Site Laws intends to follow and expects from businesses it promotes. It does not:

  • Create an employment relationship, partnership, fiduciary duty, or agency relationship;
  • Guarantee that every user, vendor, advertiser, or third party will comply with these standards;
  • Require Site Laws to investigate every unsupported or duplicative allegation;
  • Make Site Laws responsible for independent third-party conduct;
  • Expand any warranty or remedy stated in an applicable contract;
  • Constitute legal advice; or
  • Create a private right of action or contractual right beyond rights that cannot legally be waived.

Nothing in this Policy limits any nonwaivable right or remedy available under applicable law.

17. Changes to This Policy

Site Laws may revise this Fair Treatment Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, business practices, legal requirements, or operational standards.

The revised Policy will be posted on SiteLaws.com with an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through other reasonable methods when required by law.
