ACCESSIBILITY POLICY
SiteLaws.com
Effective Date: September 5, 2026
Last Updated: September 5, 2026
1. Our Commitment
Site Laws is committed to providing a website and digital services that are accessible to the widest reasonably possible audience, including people with disabilities.
We seek to provide equitable access to SiteLaws.com, its website and eCommerce law updates, compliance articles, complimentary website compliance risk scan, paid scanning services, account areas, reports, forms, and other digital content.
Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We regularly consider ways to improve the accessibility, usability, clarity, and compatibility of our website and Services.
2. Accessibility Standard
Site Laws uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, Level AA, commonly called WCAG 2.2 AA, as a general technical goal for accessibility improvements.
WCAG is developed by the World Wide Web Consortium. The guidelines address accessibility through four primary principles:
- Perceivable
- Operable
- Understandable
- Robust
Using WCAG 2.2 AA as a goal does not mean every page, feature, document, report, or third-party integration currently conforms to every WCAG success criterion.
3. Accessibility Measures
Depending on the page, content, and technology involved, Site Laws may use measures intended to support:
- Keyboard navigation
- Visible keyboard focus
- Descriptive page titles and headings
- Logical heading structure
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Sufficient color contrast
- Resizable and readable text
- Descriptive link text
- Clearly labeled forms and controls
- Understandable instructions and error messages
- Accessible navigation
- Screen-reader compatibility
- Captions or transcripts for multimedia when applicable
- Reduced dependence on color alone
- Consistent page structure
- Accessible documents and reports when reasonably possible
- Compatibility with commonly used browsers and assistive technologies
We may review accessibility through automated tools, manual evaluation, user feedback, or a combination of these methods.
4. Complimentary and Paid Scan Accessibility
Site Laws’ complimentary and paid scanning services may identify certain publicly observable accessibility indicators on submitted websites.
These automated scan findings are preliminary and limited. They are not:
- A complete accessibility audit
- A certification of WCAG or legal compliance
- A legal determination
- A substitute for manual accessibility testing
- A substitute for testing by people with disabilities
- A guarantee that every accessibility barrier will be detected
- A guarantee that a website complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act or another law
Automated testing can identify some technical conditions but cannot reliably evaluate every accessibility requirement or user experience.
A website may receive favorable automated results while still presenting barriers to some users. A reported issue may also require manual review to determine its significance and the appropriate response.
5. Reports and Documents
Site Laws may provide scan reports, downloadable documents, emails, and other materials in various formats.
We seek to make these materials accessible when reasonably possible. Some documents may contain complex tables, charts, graphics, technical findings, or formatting that affects compatibility with assistive technology.
If you experience difficulty accessing a report or document, please contact us. We will consider reasonable methods of providing the information in another accessible format.
Available alternatives may depend on the content, technology, requested format, and resources required.
6. Third-Party Content and Services
SiteLaws.com may use or link to third-party services, including:
- Payment processors
- Email-subscription services
- Video or media platforms
- Analytics services
- Social-media platforms
- Embedded content
- Security tools
- Account-management systems
- Website plugins
- External news, legal, or government resources
Site Laws does not control the accessibility of independently operated third-party websites, platforms, applications, or content.
We encourage third-party providers to offer accessible services. Questions about a third party’s accessibility practices may need to be directed to that provider.
The presence of a third-party link or integration does not constitute a representation that the third party’s service conforms to WCAG or any legal accessibility requirement.
7. Technology and Compatibility
Website accessibility may vary according to the device, browser, operating system, internet connection, assistive technology, software version, user settings, and other technical conditions.
For the best experience, users should consider using:
- A current version of a commonly supported browser
- An updated operating system
- Current assistive technology
- Browser and device accessibility settings appropriate for their needs
Older or unsupported technology may not provide access to every feature.
8. Known Limitations and Continuing Improvements
Despite our efforts, some content or functionality may not yet be fully accessible.
Potential limitations may involve:
- Older articles or documents
- Archived content
- Complex reports or data tables
- Third-party integrations
- Payment interfaces
- Embedded media
- Downloadable PDF files
- Dynamically generated scan results
- Account or subscription features
- Content created before current accessibility practices were adopted
- Temporary problems caused by updates or technical errors
We may prioritize accessibility improvements based on the severity of a barrier, the number of users affected, available solutions, technical feasibility, and available resources.
9. Requesting Assistance
If you cannot access information, complete a form, request a scan, purchase a service, access your account, retrieve a report, or use another SiteLaws.com feature because of a disability-related barrier, please contact us.
We will review the issue and consider reasonable assistance or an alternative method of providing access.
Alternative access may include:
- Providing information in another digital format
- Supplying plain-text information
- Assisting with a form or service request
- Delivering a report through another reasonable method
- Explaining scan findings in a more accessible format
- Providing another method for completing a transaction
The available response will depend on the nature of the request and the technology involved.
10. Reporting an Accessibility Barrier
Accessibility concerns may be sent to support@sitelaws.com.
Please include, when possible:
- The page address or URL
- A description of the problem
- The feature, form, report, or document involved
- The browser and device you were using
- The assistive technology involved, if relevant
- The format or accommodation that may help
- Your preferred method of response
You are not required to disclose medical information or provide proof of a disability when reporting a general accessibility barrier.
Please do not include medical records, government identification numbers, financial-account credentials, or other sensitive information in your message.
11. Our Response Process
After receiving an accessibility report, we may:
- Review the reported page or feature.
- Attempt to reproduce the problem.
- Determine whether the barrier involves Site Laws or a third party.
- Consider available corrective measures.
- Provide assistance or an alternative method of access when reasonably possible.
- Use the report to guide future accessibility improvements.
Some accessibility concerns may require technical investigation, third-party cooperation, content conversion, or software changes.
We will make reasonable efforts to respond and provide appropriate assistance as promptly as reasonably possible.
12. No Retaliation
Site Laws will not intentionally deny equal service, charge an additional fee, or retaliate against a person solely because that person reports an accessibility concern or requests disability-related assistance.
This provision does not require Site Laws to waive the standard price of a paid service or provide a product that the person did not purchase.
13. Feedback
Accessibility feedback helps us identify barriers that automated tools and internal reviews may not detect.
We welcome specific, constructive information about accessibility problems and possible improvements. Feedback may be used to improve SiteLaws.com, its reports, scanning services, documents, forms, and account features.
Submitting feedback does not create an attorney-client, consultant-client, contractual, or fiduciary relationship.
14. Accessibility Policy Limitations
This Accessibility Policy describes Site Laws’ accessibility goals and practices. It does not constitute:
- A certification of complete accessibility
- A representation that every WCAG success criterion has been satisfied
- A guarantee that SiteLaws.com will work with every assistive technology
- A legal opinion
- A waiver of rights or defenses
- An admission that a particular law applies
- An admission that an accessibility violation has occurred
Nothing in this policy limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Policy Updates
We may update this Accessibility Policy as our website, Services, technology, accessibility practices, or legal obligations change.
The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
